Silhouette Instalift®️ provides an effective, non-invasive option for those who are not ready to pursue a surgical procedure. The Silhouette Instalift®️ is a minimally invasive, in-office procedure that offers both immediate improvement and continued improvement for several months after as collagen production increases. Silhouette Instalift®️ uses absorbable micro-cones to instantly lift aging skin to the mid-face and jawline area. The cones and threads are produced in the USA and made with PLLA, a polymer, which will stimulate the production of Type 1 and Type 3 collagen. In addition from the immediate lift, this collagen production will help improve skin texture, tightness, and elasticity. The Silhouette InstaLift™️ is an FDA-approved, anti-aging treatment for the face and areas in the neck that we can do right in the office without a knife or even intravenous sedation. We use bi-directional cones or sutures that connect themselves to tissue.
Silhouette Instalift®️ is ideal for both men and women who are looking to refresh the appearance of their skin without major surgery, injections, or laser treatments. The Silhouette Instalift®️ can improve the facial appearance of patients who experience moderate cheek and mid-face sagging skin while sculpting the jawline. Perfect for patients who aren’t ready for a facelift or that require minimal downtime and a short recovery period. Not to mention - no scarring!
No! In fact, you will feel minimal discomfort throughout the procedure. Your provider will inject a local anesthetic to numb the entrance and exit points of the threads before your treatment so you will feel very little to no discomfort throughout.
Silhouette Instalift®️ provides an immediate and long-lasting lift. The bi-directional cones enable your provider to lift and reposition the fat pads of the lower face that naturally fall during the aging process. Sagging in the lower face and jowls are a result of these fat pads falling. During the procedure when the fat pads are lifted, you will see an immediate result. However, because the threads are made of PLLA, you will continue to see results for the next 18 months to 2 years. The threads and cones will begin to re-absorb into your tissue after the first several months but, at that time, collagen production will be well underway, will eventually take over, and provide additional lift and additional improvement of tightness and elasticity.
Immediately after your treatment, you may experience some inflammation, minor pain, swelling and bruising. Although uncomfortable, the inflammation actually aids in restoring collagen back into your skin. You may have temporary puckering of the lifted skin which also resolves very quickly.
You’ll notice that the lifting effect produced by Silhouette InstaLift™️ is immediate, but the collagen generation is more gradual. Over time, more and more collagen will grow, offering long-term results.
Threads and filler both serve great purposes. However, they are very different from one another. Dermal filler is a product injected into the skin that is used to “fill a space”. During the aging process, volume loss is noticed throughout the mid to lower face. Dermal filler is essential to reproduce the structural volume loss of the mid-face. This is especially important in the lateral cheeks.
Threads with bi-directional cones are used to re-position the fat pads of the lower face that drop significantly during the aging process. The bi-directional cones allow your provider to essentially lift the fat pads of the lower face back to their original location and allow them to rest on the cones.
Most patients with moderate volume loss would benefit from both replacing the structural loss in the mid-face with dermal filler in the lateral cheeks and also lifting the fat pads of the lower face back to their original position. Dermal filler and threads are meant to be used in conjunction to provide optimal results.
Everyone’s face, anatomy, and results will be slightly different. Consultation with your provider is key!
